Symptoms


I am testing K2 Mobile app and we followed the instruction how to allow the mobile app to access the k2 server out of the network. Everything went fine except when I submit the form it wont save the data to the database. My question is does the K2 Server Farm name (FQDN) need to be the same as the URL we use to access the server publicly?
 

Diagnoses


iOS version of app was being used. URL used with the mobile app is supposed to be whatever the web services URL in their environment is set to. This can guarantee access the K2API site. No error when form is submitted, it is just not saved. There must be some configuration issues should try both URLs.
 

Resolution

Configured the setup manager with the URL that is publicly exposed and was able to submit the form without issue.
