Symptoms

Error after upgrade from 4.6.6 to 4.6.11 error when we try to start the K2 Service:

Windows could not start the K2 blackpearl Server service on Local Computer Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in timely fasion.

Trying to start K2 service with the console:
Error Invoking 'StartHostServer' : 'SourceCode.HostServerLib : The type initilizer for 'SourceCode.Logging.Logger' threw an exception.
 

Diagnoses

We test to restart the installation and we get the following error message:
The following database do not match the excepted version. The following database errors were detected: There is already an object named '_ProcSetRights_Upgrade' in the database.

After test by return to the previous backup (SQL database) and re-upgrade K2: we finally found the initial error message:

Database Health on Config Analysis: Could not allocate a new page for database 'K2' because of insufficient disk space in filegroup 'FG_Server'. Create the necessary space by dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup.

 

Resolution

Return to the backup (SQL database), change the file setup in SQL in order to change the part "Autogrowth / maxsize" to "Unlimited" and re-upgrade.
