Symptoms
Remediation and analysis of K2 Server was in process. Should java be installed on the K2 server in order to have K2 Blackpearl function properly?
Diagnoses
K2 does not need to utilize any java software to function.
Resolution
K2 does not leverage off of Java specifically for any of it's functionality. We are mostly based off Microsoft technologies so I would make sure you have .NET Framework installed. You won't need to install anything Java such as the JDK or any other Java Platforms in order to have K2 work.
The only exception to this is if you are currently doing any Java development on the same K2 Server. Then you would most likely need to install the Java JDK in order to have that development continue.
