I follow-up the Documentation for States http://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/k2smartforms/userguide/current/default.htm#SF_-_FormDesigner_FormState_Scenario_Intro.html

Like to have a Form and use this to create within a Form:

New Entry Sate

Edit Entry State

Read Only State

Approval State

Admin Edit State

However seems like the form Layout is only one and perhaps need to use rules to hide the content depending of the state, I was wonder there is a way to edit  the content for each individual state, but can't figure it out in Designer, perhaps requires the K2 Studio.

THX in advance.

@K2CaveMen,

Is it possible to Edit in Designer the content of Different States within the Form?

If you would like to alter the Layout of each state, no.

But you can create Views with vastly different layouts, then show and hide a view based on rules in a specific state.

State's are edited in the Rule's section for Forms. K2 Designer takes full advantage of states.

Try it.

Create two views, put them on one form.

Go to Rules

On the Base State, When form is Initializing

Then hide view1

Then hide view2

+Add State

Use the rule editor to Show view1

+Add State

Use the rule editor to Show view2

Then you will have a different layout for different states on the same form.

If I did not understand your question completly please send more information.
