Receiving error "Invalid URI" when attempting to active K2 features via SP2010 central admin

 

Diagnoses

When running the K2 for sharepoint componet wizard. After it finish updating everything, it automatically launches the "Activate K2 features" wizard on a sharepoint site. We recieve the error mentioned above.

 

Resolution

We checked the environment library for "SharePoint site URL" fields, and found an entry of "www.example.com". When K2 activates features, it references any and all SharePoint site URLs listed in the environment library, as "www.example.com" did not include "http://", the URI was invalid. We removed this entry and were able to proceed. Conversely, had we edited it to be "http://www.example.com" where example.com is a valid SharePoint site, we would have been able to proceed.
