Symptoms
Issue:
Inline Function (Now) supplying the wrong date.
Diagnoses
Diagnosis:
After upgrade from 4.6.8 to 4.6.9 the Inline function Now is intermittently supplying the wrong date (saving as January 1 2001 1200AM).
Tests that have been performed:
- Testing on another VM did not show the same behaviour, therefore it is an environmental rather than a product issue
- Checking Regional settings on the server from the K2 Service account
- Tested the solution on client's end both on the K2 Server and client machines and the error was present on both ends
Further in the investigation a package was requested, but was not possible to deploy this due to missing references. Therefore, a DB backup was also requested. At this point the client decided they want to terminate the investigation, since they have a workaround. (More time was needed to assist due to the issue being environmental and the error being intermitted)
Resolution
Workaround:
Creating another property in the SmartObject and submitting a new date into it.
