Symptoms

We are trying to move our K2 Blackpearl installation. Upon re-installation of K2 Blackpearl from the default c:/program files (x86) to d:/K2-data, the following dlls are not accessible: K2_Management PDFConverter This is causing configuration errors when installing Smartforms and unable to rectify using the broker management or the smartobject tester. Changing the dll to the correct path in the broker service throws an error: The assembly is built by a runtime newer that the currently loaded runtime and cannot be unloaded. Resolution

To rule out an issue with the installation, I think we need to run a full uninstall on your environment.

The full uninstall steps are below. If a step (eg. control pack) is not applicable, please ignore it. The steps to follow are: Prior to uninstalling, please take a backup of the K2 install folder and the K2 database (we will use the K2 database for the install). I recommend that you do the following:

1. Log onto the K2 host server as the service account

2. In the start menu navigate to the K2 Control Pack setup manager

3. Right-click and select 'Run as Admin'

4. When prompted, select to remove Control Pack

5. Complete the uninstall DO the same for SmartForms.

6. In SharePoint, delete the K2 for SharePoint app from any site collections that have it installed

7. In SharePoint -andgt AppCatalogue -andgt Apps for SharePoint, press the ellipsis on the K2 for SharePoint app and select delete

8. Now follow the steps in: https://help.k2.com/kb000216

9. Once complete, remove the K2 sites in IIS. Now, install Blackpearl, then SmartForms and Control Pack. Ensure that the installation media is on the local hard disk, that your are logged in with the installation (or K2 service) account and you right-click setup.exe ad select 'Run as Admin'.
