Customer wish to know the steps to perform domain migration
Resolution
We do not have official documentation for domain migration as each customer environment is unique and there is no path for a straight forward domain migration. In general, these are the common things that need to be done during a server/domain migration:
a) The K2 databases need to be scanned for domain references and server name references.
b) Active process instances need to be scanned for domain references and server name references in the data fields and XML fields. The data is stored in binary fields so you need to use the K2 APIs to check and update them.
c) If SharePoint Integration Processes are involved, this can also complicate the process as there might be server/domain name references in the SharePoint.
This is not a straightforward exercise if you are switching the server/domain name and it was recommended to engage K2 Consultant to perform the migration operation
