Symptoms

Customer is trying to use “To K2 FQN User” inline function for SP site in 2013 and does not have K2 for SP 2010 installed in SP server. The workflow fail with “The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found” error.
 

Diagnoses

I did a Fiddler trace on my VM and found that the function is trying to execute the K2SPUserGroup.asmx web service which is only available if you have K2 for SharePoint 2013 in 2010 mode installed on your SharePoint server.


 

Resolution

Our labs team has logged a TFS for our documentation to include statement that the “To K2 FQN User” inline function only works if K2 for SharePoint 2010 is installed on the SP server.
