Hi Team,

I have a main Workflow and sub workflows. I am calling sub workflows from my main workflow.

In a List Item, one of the sub workflow got error and unfortunately we terminated it and restarted the individual sub workflow. Sub workflow completed successfully but the main workflow still shows that it is waiting for the sub workflow.

Can anyone please let Me know how to come over this step or Is there a way to skip current step in a running workflow to next stage.

I cannot restart the main workflow as it already passed many stages and approvals.

Any help and suggestions are much appreciated.

Hi Sudheekar,

unfortunately this is not possible. You cannot skip a step of a running workflow, you will always need to cancel the running workflow, update the workflow and start it again.

If you know that you have the requirement to be able to skip some steps, you will need to build the workflow accordingly. For example you could generate tasks for yourself, to decide if the upcoming step should be processed.

I have very sensitive workflow running it was Stacked  in one step for approval CHRO he gave his approval finally but the workflow, unfortunately, wouldn't to continue it keeps pending now the managers they will killing me because its a very long approval process we are stacked now we can't cancel the workflow and start from 0 this mean west 2 months or find a way to hack the workflow to change the stupid  outcome pending I hate nintex
