Any body  have idea how to rename the existing smart object name

I Have changed the Existing Smart Object name to a new name  But while executing the .net code  it is throughing  an error smartobject name was not found  but when iam testing  the same smart object tester it is showing the new name.


Even I changed the smartobject name by opening the notepad also i am getting the same error

Would anyone please suggest me  an  approach how to rename the smartobject without deleting


 

Have you tried deleting the original SmartObject through the Object Browser and then redeploying the renamed SmartObject or did you just redeploy the same SmartObject with a new name?

We have to delete the smartobject, deploy and then create a new smart object with appropriate name.
