Hi All,

How we can check whether the smart actions are enabled or not?

And some one share some articles, how to use the smart actions?

Regards

Amar

Easiest way would be to run the blackpearl setup manager to see if you have SmartActions enabled. It will be pretty obvious once you reach that setup page.

Amar,

per your request "And some one share some articles, how to use the smart actions?"

Here is a SmartActions users guide.  SmartActions User Guide

If you need to search more go to help.k2.com 'SmartActions' is one word or else you won't get good results.

Cheers

Hi,

Can any one confirm please in which version of K2, this smartactions has been introduced?

Regards

Amar

Hi,

I tried in the K2 setup manager, But I didn’t come across anywhere with the smartactions configure option.

Below are the steps which I followed

Step 1: Opened setup.exe file(…K2_BlackpearlSetup)

Step 2: Choose Configure K2 blackpearl

Step 3: Following are the screens which we got

               License configuration

                K2 Server configuration

                K2 pass-through authentication

                K2 Server Configuration

                K2 Workspace website configuration

                K2 workspace application pool configuration

                SQL reporting services configuration

                Exchange server settings

                CRM server settings

                Database configuration

                Service Account configuration

                Configuration Summary

                Additional actions

In any of the screen I didn’t find an option to change the configuration for activating the smartactions

I am seeing SmartActions in the release notes for Blackpearl 4.5 v1420

http://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/K2blackpearl/UserGuide/1420/webframe.html

-Overview - What is new in this release

SmartActions

Save time and decrease bottlenecks by implementing K2 SmartActions in your processes so that your users can action their tasks directly from their e-mail.

What version of Blackpearl are you using?

Hi Chadg,

Thanks for your reply.

We are using 4.6.5 version, But still I didn’t find the smartaction option in my setup manager.

Regards

Amar

Amar,

per this document;

The SmartActions incoming e-mail configuration panel is enabled by default but configured as an optional component if the SmartActions feature is not required.

More Information from  This Blog;

To check if smart action is configured

 Open the file named K2HostServer.exe.config (Make a backup of the file before making any changes)

<install drive>:Program Files (x86)K2 blackpearlHost ServerBin

 Search for: <messageBus>

This is what it looks like if smartActions are enabled:

<messageBus>
<!--
If you do not use the Service Account for MessageBus, remember to update the connection
strings.
-->
<system self="K2:DENALLIXK2Service" enableListeners="True" allowAmbiguity="true" />

And if smartActions is not enabled:

<messageBus>
<!--
If you do not use the Service Account for MessageBus, remember to update the connection
strings.
-->
<system self="K2:DENALLIXK2Service" enableListeners="True" allowAmbiguity="false" />

For more information there is a blog post

Hi Amar,
Since you are running way older K2 version where smart actions very introduced, I would recommend you to log a support ticket with K2.
