Symptoms

When you set the Destination Rule Options to "Create a slot for each role and group", and the destination is assigned to a group (AD Group), the user who actioned the item does not appear in ActivityInstanceDestUserName. It shows the Destination Group Name instead. How can I get the user name of the person who actioned the item?

Diagnoses

Below are some possible implementations:

1. Using the 'Activity Instance Destination' Reporting SmartObject to determine who had actioned the task and what action they took. An additional Start rule on the activity containing this SmartObject event to delay and allow for the reporting data to complete before it is called.

2. Implementing this on the form itself, to capture the user when they select an action and click some sort of 'Submit' button that would action the item

3. You can use eAdvanced Destination Rule > Plan Per Destination > All at once] and dthe Activity Destination Instance > Use > Fields] with "Plan Per Destination" and the "Resolve all roles and groups to users" option to record this information, perhaps with a data transfer event or SmartObject event.

If you wish to explore other design options/implementations that may be possible, please consider K2 Remote Services or perhaps the K2 Community forum regarding how other companies may be implementing this (http://community.k2.com/).
