Symptoms


I have two forms in production and for some reason an Unresolved Item error is occurring on specific items in the email message. When I delete and re-insert the items they appear to be okay. But when I close the rule and reopen the error has regenerated again.
 

Diagnoses


This is expected behavior as the item references have not yet been created.
 

Resolution

You can work around the issue by using a Workflow to send the email, as the item reference will have been created, or just use the Controls on the form to populate the email.
