Symptoms

Save as pdf control still does not function. Pdf files will not save to smartobject in our new test environment. On one of our forms, the save as pdf control saves back to our production server smartobject.
 

Diagnoses

The issue was caused by PDF Converter Service Instance connection string was pointing Production instead of Test environment.
 

Resolution

Configure connection string for the PDF Converter Service Instance to point to Test environment resolved the issue.
SmartObject Service Tester > ServiceObject Explorer > PDF Converter > right click PDF Converter Service Instance, and click Edit Server Instance.
