I have a workflow that runs on a document and at the end of the workflow the document is converted to pdf. I need to be able to export all the workflow history/logs/approvals page and attach it to the end of that pdf file. Is there a UDA that can do this and/or any ideas of an easy way to do it? We're using 2013 on-prem.

Note: The pdf gets sent to external sources who don't have access to sharepoint and they only get a paper/soft copy.

Hey Christine Mikhaiel‌!

One way I can think of to do this is to put in a sort of "reporting" section to your workflow that will print each history item to another list, with an ID for that specific workflow. You can then put all of that in a collection and then use Document Generation to print all of that to a table, which you can then append as a PDF / to a PDF.

So instead of a "log to history" you'd have a "Update List Item" -- and after any approval / rejection chain you'd have an "Update List Item" (to say when, who, what, why - etc.) -- Workflow instance could be the unique ID to tie them all together.

Here's another thread on the topic:

I also feel like we should be able to query the Nintex db and put that into a collection and parse it .... but .... I've never done that. Sooo .... yes.

Cheers!
