SmartForms, by default, runs rules right after each other(then).  You can change this to run asynchronously, in a batch(also), or concurrently(and).

To do this, access the rules you would like to change the order of execution in the SmartForms designer.

Select the "then" link on the rule you are changing the execution and you will be able to change it from there.
