Symptoms

 


Exchange Server Configuration - Clearing out E-Mail Address and Password when hitting next.

1) after_entering_in_email - this is how that screen looks after I enter in the K2NotifyDev email address.
"K2service@DENALLIX" with a password specified

2) after_clicking_next - this is the error I receive after clicking next
Error: "Username and password must be entered"

3) missing_username_now - this is what the wizard looks like after clicking OK on the error message presented in 2.
 

 

Diagnoses

 


The Setup Manager will use the "K2 Service Account" and password specified on the prior wizard page to determine an email address via querying AD, then it will use the email address found to perform Exchange AutoDiscovery to pre-populate the required Exchange server settings (such as populating the EWS URL, version, etc.).

The "Username and password must be entered" error can occur if the service account does not have an email specified in AD to be used for Auto Discovery.

Resolution

Please check if the K2 Service Account specified has a valid email address specified in Active Directory to be used for AutoDiscovery.  A valid email address/smartactions email address can be temporarily assigned to the K2 Service Account to allow for completion of the Wizards and can be deleted after completion of the installation/reconfiguration.
