Just throwing out an idea, I don't know that it works, but I know in the Function Browser (5th tab in the Context Browser) there is a 'Logical' option available. Have you tried building an expression with dates where you specify the exception dates with the 'Not' Logical option or even an If statement expression? In the If statement, you could specify the dates as the False Value. 

It may work but this way i will need to apply this solution many locations in all existing workflows . Anyway thank you Alyssa it may be the only solution i have.
