I have a SharePoint Integration Workflow task. If it is not actioned within 48 hours by the employee, I have an escalation configured to redirect the task to the manager. However, the client wants the original employee to still be able to action the task after it is escalated, so the Redirect action will not work for that.


I have tried various ways to redesign the escalation, and can't come up with anything. If I create the original task with 2 slots, the task notification will be sent to both the employee and the manager, and I only want it to be sent to the employee the first time. I'm not sure how to use the Goto Activity action properly either. If I create a second SharePoint client event for the escalation, I have to put a line on it from somewhere, and it will go to the escalation activity before the escalation is supposed to occur.


Any ideas?
