Symptoms

When attempting to create a package using K2 Appit for SharePoint the following error occurs:

30003 WorkflowEventSettingsRuntimeService has encountered an error. WorkflowEventSettingsRuntimeService has encountered an error. Exception of type 'SourceCode.SmartObjects.Client.SmartObjectException' was thrown.

This issue was found across multiple browsers, private browsing windows, as well as restarting the browsers did not help to clear the issue.
 

Diagnoses

When attempting to reproduce the issue on the main environment, reproduction of this issue was not successful. It is suspected that this may have had something to do with the permissions required for packaging becoming mismatched.
 

Resolution

Issue was resolved by running the registration wizard. After running the registration wizard the packaging tool was run again and it was found there were some validation errors that needed to be corrected. Confirmation was made that the package was able to be successfully created after these changes were made.
