Symptoms
A "Problem applying web template This web template requires that certain features be installed, activated, and licensed." Screenshot attached" error is thrown when:
- On the dev environment SharePoint site, remove the K2 for SharePoint app.
- Save the site as a template
- Copy the template to the Testing SharePoint Server.
- Upload the template to the Testing SharePoint top level site.
- Add a new sub-site, use the custom template created above
Diagnoses
None of the feature on the attachment are K2 related.
Creating a non-K2 template of the same type caused the same issue, verifying the above.
Resolution
Disabling the features on the server that were not required by K2 and the template was successfully uploaded.
