Error trying to use K2 Workflow on SharePoint List
 

Diagnoses

Recently upgraded to 4.6.9. In Sharepoint 2010, when attempting to launch the K2 Web Designer for Sharepoint the error is thrown:

Could not load file or assembly 'SourceCode.Sharepoint.Administration'
The system cannot find the file specified.

When attempting to run the "K2 for Sharepoint Configuration Wizard' the following error is thrown:

Could not load file or assembly 'SourceCode.Sharepoint.Workflow' or one of its dependencies. Failed to grant permission to execute. Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131418
 

Resolution

After the installation/upgrade account was given elevated rights, a Repair was performed and re-running of the K2 for Sharepoint Configuration Wizard and reactivation wizard to the site collection resolved the issue.

For Sharepoint 2010, the K2 blackpearl 4.6.9 Setup will need to be run on all Sharepoint WFEs and the Central Administration server to upgrade the 'K2 for Sharepoint 2010' components to version 4.6.9. You can do so by checking the "Program and Features" on all Sharepoint WFEs and the Central Administration server.

After doing so, run through the "K2 for Sharepoint Configuration Wizard" on the Central Administration server to upgrade and update the solutions, and then perform a re-activation of the K2 features and K2 configuration settings to the necessary site collection.
