Hi, I am building a simple workflow that only has a placeholder event, nothing else. When I try to deploy the workflow I get an error "Invalid characters found: &!@#$%^&*()+=...." (see attached screenshot)
The only event in my process is a placeholder event, with no special characters anywhere in the name or otherwise, so I am not sure what is causing this error.
Please check the name of your Site Collection or Subsite for any special characters. I have seen several instances where a site can be named something like "Mike's Site" and the apostrophe throws the error.
I was able to confirm that this was a known issue that has now been fixed, you should no longer have any issues with having an apostrohe in a Site name.
