Symptoms

Error server not licensed while accessing K2 Designer
Details:

- SharePoint 2013 On-Premises (intranet) of Pre-Production
- test SharePoint site collection in HTTPS, K2 application registered in HTTPS (pointing to https://Designer URL that is Farm K2 of Pre Production)
- Farm K2 of Pre-Production On-Premises (intranet) topology:
2 front-end servers in DMZ
2 front-end servers in intranet -> running k2 designer URL service, Server of the error is one of these two
2 application servers in intranet
1 database server in intranet

-Error is always related to server SERVERX (hence the "randomic", as we have a balanced farm, when we point to the other front end server there are no problems)


 

Diagnoses

Diagnosis:

We have found for the server SERVERX  that in workspace the license key was not in accordance with the system key.



 

Resolution

Resolution:

- Run K2 for Smartforms Setup
- Change The License Key to Valid License Key
- Allow Setup to run
- Test K2 Designer works after Setup
