Diagnoses

Error received when attempting to save K2 workflow in SP designer: Could not allocate space for object 'Designer.ProcessXML'.'PK_Designer_ProcessXML' in database 'K2' because the 'FG_HostServer' filegroup is full

- there is still plenty of disk space on the drive holding the SQL database
- 'FG_HostServer' FileGroup is using the default SQL 10% Autogrowth setting and default SQL "Unlimited" size settings, it has the potential to grow to the max size of of the disk
 

Resolution

Customer indicated that the K2 database was originally hosted on SQL express and had hit the 4GB limit some time ago and was moved but the K2 setup manager was not executed on the Sharepoint servers to reconfigure K2. After doing so and re-running the K2 for Sharepoint configuration wizard, and performing a K2 Features and K2 Configurations Settings re-activation to the affect site collection the K2 Designer now saves workflow successfully.
