Symptoms

Error in Send e-mail action.

This was working fine throughout UAT but appears to be failing in last few days. Steps to recreate the error is as follows:

1. User opens new K2 form (https://k2workflow.uat.aurizon.com.au/Runtime/Runtime/Form/BillingRequest.Form/) and selects Finance Endorsement from dropdown. Field is static list as shown in 2015-11-10 11-09-15.png.
2. User clicks submit and e-mail action sends email to value stored in Finance Endorsement. eg. Wayne.chan@aurizon.com.au
3. Error appears as shown in 2015-11-10 11-11-18.png.

Finance Endorsement value has been checked for trailing spaces (None) and other illegal characters. A
All emails from dropdown seems to fail.

Email action was working fine during UAT last week and only appears to fail today.
K2 package sent in previous ticket can be used to confirm.
 

Diagnoses

I believe that the form may have lost a binding to the SmartObject.
 

Resolution

During our testing we removed and re-added the value set in the 'From' field of the email.
The rule then completed successfully.
