Symptoms
Received an error when deploying a set of smartforms from Dev to QA. Everything looks like it deployed, but I got the error "Dependency could not be created. Parent does not exist in this environment".
Diagnoses
Reviewing Windows Application Event log on K2 App server in QA, we found the following error:
“30101 Unable to create dependecies for [SmartObject System Name]. Additional Info: ServiceObject: [Service Object Name] ServiceType: SourceCode.SmartObjects.Services.Endpoints.WebService.WebServiceBroker”
We then edit the Service Instance in the error, and noticed that the Service Instance was pointing to incorrect web Service URL.
Resolution
Customer corrected the URL for the Service Instance, and was able to deploy his package successfully.
