Symptoms

Upon opening workflow process in k2 designer of visual studio the following error is thrown: "Could not load file or assembly ‘sourcecode.Workflow.Design.Forms, Version=4. 0. 0. 0, culture=neutral, Publickeytokern=16a2c5aaaa1b130d” or one of its dependencies."
 

Diagnoses

This error normally indicates that you are trying to open a process that has K2 smartforms client events, but the smartforms client tools has not been installed on the client machine yet.
 

Resolution

If smartforms client components have not been installed, please try and run the K2 smartforms setup manager on that machine and install just the client components.
