Symptoms

K2 host server log for all servers in K2 farm contains the following error which is being logging with approximate interval of 30 seconds:

"Error","General","28039","CouldNotConnect","K2ClusterServer.CheckRunning","28039 Could not connect to %SERVERNAME%","anonymous"

Diagnoses

This error message means that for some reason K2 database contains references either to old server which was removed from the environment or to a cluster name which should not be listed in server tables.

Resolution

Check the following tables in K2 and remove entries for %SERVERNAME% which was mentioned in errors logged in K2 host server logs:

HostServer].oServer]
Server].gServer]

Once you removed these entries, restart K2 service and you will see that this error message is no longer being logged.

Pay attention that you always have to back up your K2 database and have a clear understanding and confidence of actions you about to perform. If you not comfortable with performing such changes log a ticket with K2 support for qualified assistance.
