Symptoms
"Error: Endpoint cannot be reached: http://k2.denallix.com:6332/api/metadatadocument/test Ensure that the port is open and you can browse to the endpoint from this location.
Diagnoses
We tried several things in order to get this resolved, however, I believe our culprit was in this case, the load balancer configuration.
We checked proxy settings, and disabled the proxy, this had no effect. We also disabled the windows firewall, which also did not appear to be blocking traffic. On the K2 server itself, we noticed that proxy settings differed from what was on the sharepoint server. We set the sharepoint server to follow the same proxy settings as the K2 server.
We checked our host file entries, and saw that the k2.denallix.com URL pointed to the load balancer as opposed to directly at one of the K2 servers. We modified this to point directly to one of the K2 nodes. We then were able to proceed through the setup manager.
Resolution
As the load balancer was not forwarding traffic on :6332, once the load balancer was bypassed, we were able to connect to the machine. We did encounter some warnings via the setup manger about the endpoint during our run, however, the step that this check prepares for, issuing the Oauth High Trust certificates, succeeded despite these warnings.
