We had an employee change their last name.  Their AD name was updated and they belong to an AD group but now they cannot access a form they once could.  What else do we need to check?

The LSA Cache may still be holding onto the previous logon name; perhaps try one of the solution as per:

Is this also a form for submitting something new or a Task form that they have to action?


When changing a id of a user in Active Directory the user will be added to the identity.identity table as a new user. The userid will not updated. this would than mean that the user will need to get rights assigned to him again as this user will be seen as a new user and not an updated version of the original user. 


 


In essence as I understand when a user is updated the old userid will still be present in the identity cache and the new userid will be stored as a separate userid.
