Symptoms
Emails not sending from SmartForms, but sending from Workflow. When attempting to send an email from a SmartForm, and error dialog appears with the following text: "The remote name could not be resolved: User@Domain.com'"
Emails send correctly from the K2 Workflows, however.
A link was found online where someone faced what seems to be a similar issue and it seems as if they were able to correct the problem.

We just want to receive confirmation of exactly what steps should be taken to resolve this issue since it's currently happening in UAT and Production environments.
Diagnoses
The user usually indicates that the email address is not the correct one or sometimes it does include an URL instead of an email address.
Resolution
Retyping the email address fixed the issue. it looks like there were some spaces or invalid characters in the Environment Field.
