I would like to share this situation in my job, and please i need the best solution we can apply.


The situation is how can i escalate (By sending email) process instance to the Manager of Activity Destination User when the user doesn't respond or take action during a specific period, i mean how can i get the manager of activity destination user not Initiator user?


for example: when employee X initiate process then it goes to HR Officer and he doesn't respond during a specific period it should go to HR Officer Manager.

There is a SmartObject that can do that for you.  In the Environment tab your K2 Object Browser, go to SmartObject Server > Task Allocation > TaskAllocationADMethods > Single Method > Get Manager.  For the input parameter, point it to the current activity destination user.
