Symptoms

DEar TEam,

We suddnely are getting the below error on production env.
Our infra team confirms that the connectivity to domain controller server is ok but still the application shows up this error.
we tried restarting the server.

Appreciate your quick support on this.

Server Error

Authentication Failed : The system cannot contact a domain controller to service the authentication request. Please try again later

 

Diagnoses

Fro the network trace etl file we found that port 389 on the PIA server is not open.
Issue is fixed when opening port 389 on the PIA server to allow communications with K2 server . the DC for some reason passed the authentications to the PIA server but the port was closed. opening it resolved the issue.
