Symptoms
Finding the error message "1 28018 K2:SERVERuser does not have permissions to open the process" in the event logs and also in k2 server logs. Need help to identify from which process we are getting message. Have seen the same error in k2 server logs also.
Diagnoses
Orphaned process causing error, as well as problems with the URL for the group provider.
Resolution
The customer was able to remove the orphaned process instances, which resolved the error. We also updated the URL for a group provider that was causing an error in the Hostserver log, and added the K2 for SharePoint app to a site to resolve an error with another group provider.
