Does 5000 threshold limit of Lists items in SharePoint also applicable to K2 Webparts ?

Hi Everyone,

I encountered an interesting question and even after researching I am still confused about the answer.

Q. Does 5000 threshold limit of Lists items in SharePoint also applicable to K2 'My pending tasks' and 'Worklist Items' webparts ?

I do not think it applies to the K2 Webparts, perhaps only smartobjects as:

Smartobject pulling list items <--> Sharepoint <-- (List View threshold) --> Sharepoint database

Where-as:

K2 Webpart <--> K2 server (Worklist related API) <--> K2 database

As far as I know there is not a limit to the number or worklist item returned.
