Symptoms

I recently had an issue where we lost the ability to select a K2 smartofrms and my forms defaulted back to SharePoint out of the box. I was able to recreate the K2 smartforms however when I try to set a rule on the display form edit button that will essentially open the edit form. I am receiving an error. I am 100% certain of what the error is however I am not able to correct it. The error is looking for the id of the list item I want to edit. You will see from the mappings1.jpg attachment that I do not have the ability to map an id, my mappings are completely blank. I have also attached the error I am receiving.

 

Diagnoses

The issue was caused by missing Form parameter. When configuring Navigate to another form, the target form parameter is required if you need to configure that rule.
 

Resolution

Adding the missing form parameter allow customer to configure the rule and resolve the issue.
