Symptoms

after an upgrade from VS 2012 Premium to VS 2013 Ultimate, I am not able to create K2 Projects with the Designer for VS anymore. I have already reconfigure and repair the K2 server, smartforms and other components of the K2 Package, but with no succuss.
Do you have any hints to help me, please?
 

Diagnoses

Running a reconfig/repair/modify and selecting VS 2013 component for K2 for Visual studio usually fixes the issue.
in this case we tried that but it did not work.
I then suggested to reinstall Visual studio but did not work.
Then we uninstalled K2 and all its componants and reinstalled it as well but it did not work.
 

Resolution

Checking the following resolved the issue:
* devenv.exe /resetuserdata
* devenv.exe /resetsettings
* devenv.exe /setup

Also check is the machine architecture in x86 or x64
