Just to extend on this.
when you initiate a deployment K2 register a session for it, if for some reason you cancel out of the deployment it will still keep the session live for 20 minutes by default. This is by design.
In a situation like yours where you want to deploy again immediately, there is a Management SmartObject you can use to close the session.
In Management Pages, SmartObject Management search for Session. In this SmartObject execute the Close method and it will require the Session name. This session name can be found in the error when trying to deploy.
