I might be losing my mind here, but I can't see how to delete a role after it's been added to a process...

In the management console, follow:

Workflow Server -> Processes -> Project Name -> Process Name -> Roles

Now add a role. Once you've added it, try delete it. You can't?

Quick update: you can remove the roles form a process by wiping out the following tables from your K2Server database:

_DestQueueUser
_DestQueue

Other than doing this I don't see how they can be deleted. You can check and uncheck them, but that doesn't do anything.

Do you want to keep the role, and just remove it from being used in a specific process?

I was investigating an issue and added a role here, and I wanted to delete it. I realise now that having it there doesn't actually make a difference, but i wanted to clean out the system again.

it's not an issue, just something which confuses me...

To answer your question... yes.

Hi ,

When creating a Role, use it in a process and deploy the process the role will become associated/dependent to that specific process. You can delete a role if it's not used in a process.

There might be a way to remove this via the DB but it is NOT supported, you can log a support ticket for K2 Support Desk to assist you with a possible workaround or request this as a feature.

Best Regards,

K2
