Symptoms

 


The consolidation completed successfully but the K2 Host Service stucks at starting. Comparing the config files, it looks like half of the information got written and abruptly ended which could be the main cause. The following error was in the install log: Logged Error: Exception occurred while trying to update comments for file: E:Program Files (x86)K2 blackpearlHost ServerBinK2HostServer.exe.config Exception Type: XmlException Exception Msg: There is an unclosed literal string. Line 146, position 126. Diagnoses

 


The issue was caused by corrupted K2HostServer.exe.config file
 

 

Resolution

Run K2 blackpearl Setup Manager with Repair option from the installation folder to resolve the issue.
