Hello,

I am using K2 Blackpearl and I have a rule that makes certain views read only during certain states. However, the rule lightens the text and control features in the view. This becomes an issue when the approvers are trying to read the text and when it converts to PDF. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to darken the text?

Thanks,

Bryan Peters

Dear ,

From the small experience i got , i have one idea for the pdf thingy .

which is tht when the event is triggered to save as pdf , change the edit state back to editable (so u get the light colors) and after the rules execution set it back to read only .

but for the first issue , i used to face it only if i disable the view then it goes pretty unclear for reading , but using edit state read only , i saw it normal , so i cant help with that no ideas in my mind , but hope someone else does .

Hope it helps!

Regards.

That is a fantastic idea!!! Thanks for the input! Kudos to you!

Thanks,

Bryan Peters

If this is going to be a common requirement, it might be worth the effort to make a customized copy of the theme that you use and change the style settings for read only to be a darker color that you need. This would address adding extra steps to your various use cases to work around the font color issue which introduces unnecessary complexity to your projects which will become more burdensome over time.

As a quick start, here are some references on custom theming in smart forms:

Excellent idea! I was unaware that we could create custom themes. Thank you for your input. Thanks for taking the time to post some helpful URLs!
