Hi all,

I have been browsing the knowledge base in search of a way to implement conditioning actions into a K2 Studio workflow and haven't quite found what I'm looking for so under the risk of asking an already answered question here goes..

I have an item in a SharePoint list (Type of job: A) New B) Replacement) If the first value is selected then the workflow should go to a specific user to be validated but if the second value is selected that user should be skipped altogether.

I went through the documentation but I cannot find this specific example.

Please help...

Hi Asdru,

You can create that condition using a Line Rule that evaluates a Data Field or even a SmartObject. This depends on how you want to design it.

I suggest you take a look at the K2 Learning Courses at http://help.k2.com/blackpearl/k2u. Module 100.SEA should give you an idea on how to design a basic process.

Enjoy!

JK.

Hello Asdru,

As jikai mentions 100.SEA will definitely give you a basic idea on how to design the process. I would also suggest the 100.IAH - Building Workflows with K2 Studio-Fundamentals Lab. This lab really helped me to understand the workflow process and hopefully it will clear up your question. Here is the link for the lab:

This should give some insight about the workflow process and I wish you luck in creating your workflow.

Regards,

JC
