column not available in lookup section

Good Day,

I have recently added a new column to my list and want to use this column in a flexi task. Unfortunately for some reason it is not appearing in the item properties.  Any suggestions?  The field is called 'finalApprover'.

    Are you by chance using a custom form in this list (InfoPath or Nintex)?

    Hi Jennifer,

    have you tried to exit the workflow designer and going back into it? If it was already open while you have added the column, maybe it hasn't load the new list structure..

    I tried adding another column, but that one doesn't appear either.

    The column I am adding is a lookup column and I have one already that is working, but cannot add another.
