Hi Guys,

Is there a way to check if the requester of a document using the InfoPath form is the proponent and further check if that user is the division head?

I can't seem to find  a component on this under the Events Wizards.

I used these tutorials as references: here
and here.

Please help.

Thanks.

What distinguishes a 'proponent' from any other user?  Is that something specific to your application?

For the division head, if there is something in ActiveDirectory that indicates this then you could use an AD SmartObject to do a lookup.

Hi David,

Thanks for the response.

Basically, there is no distinguishing factor between the proponent and the requester in terms of AD attributes. The requester can be a subordinate of the proponent, who is, let's say the assistant of the division head or the division head himself (highest level of a proponent).

I'm thinking of putting a checkbox in the InfoPath form to see if the user is a requester or a proponent. But I don't know how to pass and validate this using components in K2 Studio.

Also, I don't seem to understand your suggestion on AD SmartObject. How can I place inside my defined process?

Thanks again.
