Would manually inserting the URL link in the email event not work?

I did try it but the url return leave space where you drop the item ID for example so no it does not work

Couldn't you set up a DNS entry so that it will resolve the domain name (glcadsvpk2dev) to the IP address?

No it can not be done this way. Our server adminstrators say this need to be done on K2 can anybody help ?

K2 config will need to be changed from server name to FQDN
