Our K2 Production database (along with our custom K2 databases) are currently located on a standalone SQL Server Instance. We would like to migrate the K2 database (along with the custom K2 databases) to a separate SQL Server Instance (having a different name). What are the steps to do this? Is there a variable that we can tweak? Do we need to rerun the install? Do we need to also alter the workflows, forms and/or smartobjects to reference the new instance name? Please let us know. Thanks.
 

Resolution

The recommended option here is to execute the setup manager and point K2 to the existing database. You can try to create an Alias and that might also work, but we recommend to ran the setup manager.
