Symptoms

I have an activity configured to one SharePoint Group which has 5 members. If any one of the member actions the activity it expires the activity. The destination user Configuration works absolutely fine but there is a requirement to send email CC to particular member. Now every time the notification email is send it sends an email 5 times to memeber Ccd on email. Is there any way where I can utilize the Smart Forms Client event for sending Notification to all destination users but it doesn't send email 5 times to member who is in CC email configuration of Smart Forms Client.
 

Diagnoses

This is by design. When using notifications and you chose Advanced, this in a sense means you want SmartActions mails.

Now SmartActions / Message bus can’t send mails to a Group. It needs to flat list the Group to users to process the mails for each user in the group, and then the CC and BCC fields will ride along with each of then send.

This is true even if your destination is set to not resolve groups. Ie the task is assigned to the Group we still need to send the mail to each person.
 

Resolution

Customer use separate email event to send the content to the CC email instead.
