Cash Management - Approve 'on behalf of' action
 

Diagnoses


User concerns about the process can be approved from someone 'On Behalf Of' which should not be possible to appear that way. In detail, Secretary can send an email approval for their fee earner.

 

Resolution

An Feature Request has been logged.

Please be aware that if you decide that person b can do “on behalf of” mails, then you should also understand that person has in a way “god mode” on your mailbox and this include auctioning K2 tasks via SmartActions as you are actually replying as that person.
The reason this is a feature request is that this is a permission being set in outlook and not something we can easily cater for.
We need to investigate where to go and look for that settings and then how we will implement that into K2. We do have other clients who are using this functionality to approve task so we need to get a mechanism that will let the client choose whether or not they would like to use “on behalf” approval in SmartActions. This will require investigation and new code and not “fix” that will be quickly achieved.
